I’ve found that ever since I bought my Xbox 360 last year I’ve been drawn to games with a co-op component. Games like Halo 3, Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty: World at War, etc. I’m an FPS guy. I’ve never been into the RPG so I should get that disclaimer out there early. I find that the ability to play either locally or online with a friend working as a team is an entirely more satisfactory experience than either going solo or battling each other in a Free-for-all. It’s never fun to go online and get schooled by the hardcore gamers so playing co-op has a certain safety factor to it.
Co-op is the new multiplayer will be an ongoing column talking about my points of view on the latest co-op games I’m playing. These articles are the opinions of a casual gamer and are in no way an official review of the game itself. I don’t have nearly enough experience to call myself a reviewer, however I will render a verdict at the end of each article.
