Anyone who follows the Stargate franchise like I do should already know that Stargate Atlantis is over, kaputs. The final episode aired roughly a month ago, but this one hurts a little more than usual. Sure, Atlantis was the Brett Lindros to SG-1′s Eric Lindros (trust me, I plan to never make THAT analogy again), but it had its own quality to it. Atlantis borrowed heavily from SG-1, often reusing storylines that are only just slightly different from the original. But if there’s one thing the Stargate franchise is good at, it’s making a personal connection between the characters and the audience.
